S.U.N. Yesterday and Today

S. U. N. (Sunday yoUth natioN) is On Shing Church’s English Ministry for English-speaking youths and their parents. The church started the ministry through a few Christian families whose children were studying at International Christian School. They were committed to nurturing their next generation with Christian faith and values. Under the guidance of the Lord and the faithful service of the Church’s members, the English ministry has gradually gathered more and more youths and families since 2007. The first youth English worship started in 2015. Through the matrix of “church”, “school”, and “family,” Christian education and the formation of faith began to progress. Praise to our Lord, in 2021, around 20 S.U.N. members graduated from high school. Some studied abroad, while others continued their studies locally. As of today, we have over 30 youths joining the English worship every Sunday with bible and topic discussions, dividing the group into Team A (high schoolers) and Team B (middle schoolers). For most of the youth’s parents, they also participate actively in the church’s services and gospel outreach.

We pray that S.U.N. will be an instrument for our Lord, used and established by Him in His will and plan. May His calling be upon more and more youths and parents, building their life’s foundation in His words!
